BSAC Adelaide committee agreed that the Club needed a logo that uniquely identified us a South Australian club whilst maintaining our BSAC club status. We decided that the main theme should be iconically South Australian and acknowledge that we diving and train on Kaurna land. The leafy seadragon is certainly iconic.
We acknowledge that the leafy seadragon appears on of a number of logos for various organisations, but they are generally from a side profile. We decided to use a front on image based on a photograph taken by one of our members. To ensure our design was unique, culturally appropriate and bring our ideas to life we enlisted the help of a local Aboriginal artist who painted the design for us.
